AEV board co-opts Andy O’Sullivan and Rob Wicks
Following the spring meeting for the Association of Event Venues (AEV) board held at the NEC, Birmingham on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 the board has co-opted two new members.
Rob Wicks, Managing Director, P&J Live and Andy O’Sullivan, CEO, Olympia London will join the board of 15 members to serve the association for the first time with immediate effect.
Prior to joining P&J Live as managing director, Wicks was commercial director for Aberdeen FC and has two decades of experience fostering strategic sporting and events alliances internationally having delivered projects and events in 25 countries.
Wicks commented, “I am pleased to be joining the Association of Event Venues Board. The AEV plays a vital part in the events industry community, bringing venues together imparting best practice. I look forward to sharing the knowledge I can bring to the table.”
O’Sullivan worked with the team and partners responsible for delivering a world class stadium at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club where he was venue director and director of hospitality and was appointed CEO of London Olympia in January 2024.
Regarding his appointment to the AEV Board, O’Sullivan said, “I’m passionate about creating unforgettable customer experiences and delivering exceptional service. As we develop Olympia London and bring life to one of the UK’s most iconic venues in the heart of London, I see great value in learning from our venue contemporaries and look forward to contributing to board discussion.”

Andy is known for his market and customer insight and Rob is skilled in working with rights holders, brands, host venues, governing bodies and agencies. Both have a breadth of experience that will be extremely beneficial to our association and provide a fresh perspective with which to champion our industry and support our members.”
