Future proofing our industry

Our industry consists of amazing, skilled, hard working, collaborative event professionals.

Many universities use AEV as a portal to reach professionals within our industry.

As an education establishment with event management courses, we invite you to use us as the conduit between our members and your students through our academic associate status.

"Obtaining AEV Academic Associate status will help further the professionalisation of the live events and venues industry and support students in entering, contributing to, and advancing in the industry."

Dr Peter Vlachos

Principal Lecturer and International Link Tutor

Department of Marketing, Events, and Tourism

Event management experiences

Academic associate members can organise sessions with AEV member venues for students to gain greater insight into the industry.

Practical experience  - the benefits of placement and our involvement

Many of our members provide opportunities for event management students through placements giving them the option to attend our event managers working group.

Our member Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre does just that. Hospitality and Events North magazine featured Event Management student Shelly Sharma's placement experience.

Students from University of Greenwich experienced working at our annual conference.
